The 'getting in' to the legal profession...
The organisation that I co-lead called City Century has raised awareness about solicitor apprenticeships through both events and social media campaigns, such that most Year 12 and Year 13 students are now aware of this route to qualification.
I have relationships with many specialised organisations (charities, not-for-profit and companies) and have worked with several of them. These organisations will make school pupils, teachers and parents aware of your offering by, for example, speaking in assemblies, and arranging online career fairs and in-person events such as Work Experience Days or Insight Days. Many also support candidates through the application process.
I can help you identify the best fit for what you want to achieve.
It is important that employers now create more solicitor apprenticeships to meet demand.
Not just in the City of London, but all around the country. The most recent Youth Voice Census by the not-for-profit organisation Youth Employment UK shows that concern around the lack of local jobs grew for young people in 2024. In 2023 it was rated as the 6th biggest concern, in the 2024 Youth Voice Census it sits within the top 3 barriers to finding work (alongside a lack of work experience and anxiety). Finding apprenticeships locally continues to be a struggle for young people.

3. Work with me if you need a speaker on solicitor apprenticeships, collaboration or socio-economic diversity in law
I do not charge for my speaking engagements for organisations with which I have an official role and related not-for-profit organisations.
However, I am available on a paid basis to speak for any other organisation – but I do get booked up quickly!
